In the Senate, Tennessee Republican Marsha Blackburn is pushing a broader proposal that includes a "duty of care" provision holding companies liable for recommending content fueling eating disorders, online bullying, and other harmful conduct.
Blackburn said Monday the White House has signaled support for her approach, according to the report.
