The report said the company's 2025 profit remained higher than in any year before 2021 and brought its cumulative profit since 2022 to $41 billion.

Bloomberg reported that Vitol made about $2 billion in profit in the first quarter of 2026 despite incurring mark-to-market losses during the early days of the Iran war.

Vitol said in its audited annual accounts that the financial effect of geopolitical tensions on the company could not currently be estimated with certainty.
