Griffin said Citadel completed nearly 100 block trades totaling more than $4 billion in market value, including the largest intraday block trades of the year in 10 different names, the report said.
Citadel struck the deal in late July to buy stocks from Situational Awareness as the fund faced margin calls, entering discussions on July 29 and pricing the global portfolio within hours, according to the letter, Bloomberg reported.
Citadel did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
