Liquefied natural gas prices in East Asia fell US$0.15 to US$12.13/MMBtu while natural gas prices at the Title Transfer Facility in Europe gained US$0.10 to US$10.26/MMBtu, the EIA said, citing data from Bloomberg Finance.

U.S. natural gas supply edged lower by 0.4%, driven by a decrease in average net imports from Canada, the EIA reported, citing data from S&P Global Commodity Insights. U.S. natural gas consumption dropped 5.4% week over week, driven by a decline in power generation, residential and commercial sector use.

Net injections into gas storage amounted to 22 billion cubic feet (Bcf) for the week ended July 19, resulting in total working gas stocks of 3,231 Bcf, the EIA said. This was 456 Bcf higher than the five-year average and 249 Bcf higher than the year-ago period.
